Photographing ice skating legends Torvill and Dean

As a photographer in London, I get to witness some truly unforgettable moments – but this one was something else entirely. It was an incredible honour to photograph British ice-skating icons Torvill and Dean at London’s Wembley Arena on the opening night of their farewell tour ‘Our Last Dance’.

Celebrating an extraordinary 50-year skating partnership, the show takes the audience on a journey through their amazing career, including a new 2025 version of Ravel’s Bolero – the routine that earned them Olympic gold at the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics and secured their legacy in figure skating history.

As an event photographer, being able to capture such a historic performance, and seeing Bolero performed live by the legends themselves, was a real bucket list moment. I absolutely love what I do, and this night reminded me why I’m so grateful to be part of the world of performance photography.
